2008-09 (Freshman) Started 24 games and was one of five Lady Govs to play all 33 games… averaged 8.7 points and 3.4 rebounds per game… named to the OVC All-Newcomer team after being OVC Freshman of the Week on three different occasions while playing key role in Lady Govs turnaround… in fact, in 10 Lady Govs OVC wins, averaged 13.8 points per game, shooting 48 percent from the floor… in APSU’s eight OVC losses, averaged just 2.8 points per game, shooting just 22.4 percent from the floor… began the season coming off bench, albeit a third-game start against Troy when fellow freshman Emily Pollock was out with injury… she continued to come off bench until tallying back-to-back double-digit scoring efforts against Chicago State and Southeast Missouri… scored 11 points against Chicago State before going for 10 points and four steals at Southeast Missouri… in just her third career college start, scored 21 points against SIU Edwardsville, going a perfect 10-for-10 at the free-throw line in addition to 3-for-4 from three-point territory… earned first OVC Freshman of the Week honor for that performance… after being held to eight points at Middle Tennessee, reeled off four straight double-digit scoring efforts against Alabama (12), Elon (11), North Carolina (10) and Morehead State (10)… her 11-point, eight-rebound effort against Elon earned her second OVC Freshman of the Week citation… in Jan. 3 win at home against Morehead State, collected a career-high five steals… a seven-point effort against Eastern Kentucky, broke loose at UT Martin, scoring season-high 24 points, going 9-of-12 from floor (two three pointers) while also collecting a quartet of steals… after a couple of struggling road performances, recorded back-to-back 19-point efforts against Tennessee Tech and Jacksonville State… in overtime win against Tennessee Tech also grabbed six rebounds… two nights later, Hanley went 7-of-11 (two three pointers) against Jacksonville State with six more rebounds… back-to-back double-figure performances raised scoring average above 10 points per game for the first time… after an eight-point performance against Eastern Kentucky, scored 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting at Morehead State and 17 more at home against UT Martin… went six-of-eight from the floor against UTM, including a trio of three pointers to raise her scoring average to a season-high 10.4 ppg… but literally hit the “freshman wall” over the next five games, scoring just nine total points on 4-of-24 shooting… finally snapped the slump in regular-season finale against Southeast Missouri, dropping in 12 points, including a trio of three pointers in APSU’s comeback victory… continued that pace with 10 points on four-of-six shooting in first-round OVC tourney play against Morehead State… followed that up with 15-point outing, going 3-of-3 from three-point range against Murray State along with four assists, tying her season best… failed to score against Eastern Illinois in the OVC championship game… scored two points and grabbed four rebounds against Duke in NCAA Tournament contest.
PREP CAREER At Bullitt East High School under head coach Chris Stallings, Hanley was named the 2007-08 Bullitt County “Player of the Year”... was ranked among top 25 Kentucky prospects by Rick Bolus after senior campaign... received invitation to Kentucky Senior All-Star game... played in Kentucky-Ohio all-star game, scored 11 points on 4-of-8 shooting from the field, including 3-of-6 from three-point range and grabbed six rebounds in 13 minutes... scored 1,000 career points prior to the end of her junior campaign... averaged 16 points per game as a junior and was named to the All-Region 6 squad... was a all-state third-team selection in 2007 and 2008... named to All-Region 6 squad twice and was an all-district team member three times... played in the Rick Bolus High Potential Basketball Camp and was named to the all-tournament team in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
