Looking Ahead to 2009-10: Young sharpshooter is expected to move into starting lineup in second APSU season after serving as Govs' top bench performer in freshman season...considered candidate at wing position who can also, at times, slip inside...possesses solid all-round skills...accomplished perimeter shooter...competitive and resilient performer...owns strong proficiency on both ends of court...aggressive rebounder...willing  defender who owns solid fundamentals on that end of the court...added bulk and strength to frame with rigorous off-season program.

As a freshman in 2008-09: Served as Govs' most valuable reserve a year ago...averaged 7.8 ppg overall, shooting an impressive 50 percent from floor...shot 37.1 percent from three-point line...numbers, however, were even better during OVC play...averaged 8.8 ppg, shooting 56.7 percent from floor and even more impressive 43.1 percent from three-point range during league play...scored double figures on 12 occasions...got off to slow start, scoring nine points in first three games...began to find his rhythm in fourth game against Lambuth, scoring eight points before breaking loose against Georgia Southern...tallied 12 points, on five-of-five shooting, and six rebounds against Eagles...also knocked down first two career three pointers in game...two games later, connected on three-of-five three-pointers to finish with 12 points on floor where he earned prep tourney MVP honors the previous year...also had seven rebounds in contest...came right back to hit four three-pointers (six attempts) in scoring 14 points at Louisville....named OVC Freshman of the Week for his efforts...went five consecutive games without reaching double figures, breaking string with career-high 16 points on six-of-eight shooting in 30 minutes against Morehead State, Jan. 3....ended contest three-of-four from three-point range..came right back with 10 points and three rebounds against Eastern Kentucky two nights later...scored just 10 points total, despite shooting five-of-seven from floor, in next two games before again putting together back-to-back double figure contests....scored 14 points on five-of eight shooting against Tennessee State  before scoring tallying 12 points at home against Tennessee Tech...after scoring eight points at home against Jacksonville State. struggled in Death Valley swing, scoring 11 points on 4-of-12 shooting...resiliency was on display in Govs loss to UT Martin, scoring 12 points on five-of-nine shooting...had eight points in Govs home win against Murray State before netting double digits at Tennessee Tech, scoring 10 points on four-of-seven shooting...made season's first start at Jacksonville State, scoring 11 points on five-of-eight shooting...also started against Drake (six points) before returning to reserve role at home against Eastern Illinois...scored 11 points in game and earned his season's second and third starts at home against SEMO and first-round OVC tourney contest against Eastern Illinois...grabbed season-high eight rebounds in OVC tourney first-round game against Panthers...came off bench for final three contests...capped off season with 11-point effort against Bradley, going five-of-eight from floor.

In high school:  Guard for Mike Waldo at Edwardsville High School...blossomed in senior season to earn multitude of honors...nearly averaged double-double in leading Tigers to 26-3 record...led team with 16.6 scoring average along with 9.2 rebounds per game...shot 58 percent from floor, including 51.2 percent from three-point range (67 three pointers)...also averaged 1.9 assists and 1.2 steals per game...scored season-high 25 points against Belleville East...selected second-team All-Metro St. Louis...earned Illinois Basketball Coaches Association third-team Class 3A-4A All-State..named Associated Press Class 4A honorable mention All-State...also honorable mention Chicago Tribune All-State...chosen first-team Alton Telegraph All-Area team...selected first-team All-Southwestern Conference...scored 13 points for South team in Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-Star Game...earned South team's leadership award...named MVP of Charleston Holiday Tournament...as junior averaged 5.6 points and 6.0 rebounds per game...also had 28 assists and 15 steals...scored career-high 27 points against East St. Louis...enjoyed standout AAU performance after junior season, averaging more than 20 points and 10 rebounds for St. Louis Majestics...also won three-point shooting competition at invitation-only camp, The Basketball Camp, in Kansas City...entered senior season ranked by Ramey Basketball and Rivals.com as one of the Top St. Louis-area prospects.

Personal:  Plans to major in business management… member of Athletics Director's Honor Roll in spring...son of Mark and Michelle Campbell...his dad played both college basketball and baseball at Northeast Missouri (now Truman State)...born June 19, 1990… age 19.
