CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Austin Peay will attempt to bounce back from its season's most disappointing loss when it plays host to Tennessee Tech, 7 p.m., Tuesday in Dave Aaron Arena.

The Governors are coming off a 65-63 last-second loss at Murray State, a contest that ended with controversy over whether Isacc Miles' final shot beat the buzzer or not.

Now the Govs must attempt to put that contest behind them against a Tennessee Tech team that also is reeling after losing two straight on the recent Death Valley swing, including an 84-75 loss at Morehead State.

In that contest, star guard Frank Davis scored 21 points, including knocking down seven-of-nine three pointers. The Golden Eagles, who lead the OVC in three-point field-goal percentage, hit 9-of-18 three-pointers in the game, and shot 49.0 percent from the field, hitting 24-of-49 attempts.

Jud Dillard, who made 11-of-12 field goal attempts against the Governors in the previous contest, scored 25 points against Morehead State in his first start while also grabbing 12 rebounds.

Tennessee Tech defeated the Govs, 94-90, in Cookeville, scorching APSU's defense for better than 50-percent shooting.

In other words, Tuesday's game could take on a totally different tact than the Govs contest against Murray State - a game that turned into a defensive slugfest.

At Murray State, the Govs led much of the game but could not keep the Racers off the offensive boards down the stretch, which allowed for multiple shot opportunities during their comeback.

APSU got a 20-point, eight-rebound performance from sophomore forward Anthony Campbell, but no other Governors reached double figures.

The Govs did shoot 7-of-15 (46.7 percent) from three-point range and committed just three second-half turnovers.
