CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - "Fear the Beard" will be back with Austin Peay State University basketball in 2009-10.
Todd Babington, who owns Austin Peay's single-season records for three pointers made (102) and attempted (267), will join the Governors basketball staff as a graduate assistant for -+the upcoming season.
Babington, the 2008 Ohio Valley Conference tournament most valuable player, played professionally overseas in Belgium last season but now has turned his attention to the next phase of his life, coaching.
"We are pleased to have Todd back with our basketball program," APSU coach Dave Loos said. "His experience as a player here and his knowledge of the OVC will be beneficial to us as he embarks on his coaching career."
Babington earned his bachelor's degree in 2008 in special education. Not only did he leave Austin Peay as it single-season three point leader, he finished with 1036 points as well. His 254 career three-point makes and 654 attempts rank second in both categories behind Joe Sibbitt.
