2012: Ohio Valley Conference Men's Player of the Year and first-team all-OVC... Austin Peay's 2011-12 Most Outstanding Male Student-Athlete... Named to the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District III At-Large Team... Earned a prestigious OVC Scholar-Athlete Award for the 2011-12 year... Won final 14 regular-season matches and went 15-3 overall in spring competition... defeated No. 42 South Alabama's top player, Romain Bocaert, 6-2, 7-6 (7-3)... In first three OVC wins, lost seven sets total... defeated Tennessee Tech's Syrym Abdukhalikov 7-6 (4), 6-2... in doubles action, was teamed at various times with Aleksas Tverijonas and Jasmin Ademovic before settling into a strong partnership with Dimitar Ristovsky... The duo went 9-10, including 5-3 in the OVC... won three straight OVC doubles matches against EIU (8-2), TSU (8-3) and Jacksonville State (8-7).

 

2011 Singles: Was able to move to a more comfortable position at No. 3 singles where he posted a team-best 21 wins... had an overall 21-6 record and was only Govs player to go undefeated in OVC play at 6-0... went 15-2 at No. 3 and also posted a 1-1 mark at No. 2... finished season on six match win streak, winning nine of his final 10 matches... went 5-3 during fall tournament play, including four three-set wins... opened spring season by winning a three-set match and tiebreaker vs. Chattanooga's Chris Smith... won three of five matches to open spring, before posting a seven-match win streak... a three-set loss to Middle Tennessee's Ben Davis would be his final defeat... won all six OVC matches in straight sets, including two OVC tournament matches... was one of two Govs players (John Storie) to go undefeated in singles during OVC tournament. Doubles: A tough doubles player, went 20-6 overall with a 4-2 OVC mark... teamed exclusively with Henrique Norbiato... went 7-1 during fall season... carried momentum into spring, winning first nine matches... after a tiebreak win at South Alabama, lost two straight... won 9-7 at Morehead State, but struggled down the stretch... went 0-1 in OVC tournament, including an unfinished match in quarterfinals vs. Tennessee Tech.

2010 Singles: Named second-team All-OVC in freshman season… played 11 matches at No. 1 singles for Govs team that qualified for first OVC tournament since 2005… posted a 8-9 overall mark and 2-5 OVC mark at No. 1 singles and won his only match played at No. 2 singles… won three of his first four matches, including a split of three-set matches… struggled as the Spring season opened, dropping three three-set matches… that stretch included a pair of marathon league matches at Jacksonville State and Tennessee Tech… won two of his last three OVC matches, against Tennessee State and Murray State, both in straight sets…Doubles: One of the league’s top doubles players, teaming with fellow freshman Henrique Norbiato… played 17 matches, going 13-4 overall, with a 5-2 OVC mark alongside Norbiato… opened Fall season with four straight wins… most impressive stretch came after OVC loss at Jacksonville State… from that point Bailey and Norbiato reeled off seven-straight wins… run started with a tiebreak win at Tennessee Tech… won the next four matches in regulation… also won in a tiebreak against Murray State’s Ben Clos and Jorge Caetano... an OVC loss at Eastern Illinois bookended the Spring season… in the middle, won four straight OVC matches.

High School: Played on the Manitoba Junior Tour, where he was ranked as high as No. 1 in Manitoba and No. 24 in Canada… ranked as high as No. 991 by the International Tennis Federation (ITF)… a strong doubles player with a big serve… won a bronze medal in Men’s Doubles at the 2009 Canada Summer Games.

Personal: The son of Diane and Joseph Baily... born Nov. 23, 1991... plans to major in communications.
