CLARKSVILLE, Tenn – The Peay Patrol recognized its inaugural winners, Friday, with the office of Student Life and Engagement earning the department title while Mackenzie Gardner, of Governors Terrace North, taking the student title.

Peay Patrol hits campus each Friday to reward one on-campus student and one faculty or staff department for promoting school spirit and pride of Austin Peay.

Winners received a Peay Prize Pack – the student pack containing an APSU shirt, coffee cup and Let’s Go Peay license plate along with coupons from Dominos Pizza on Wilma Rudolph, a gift card to the APSU Bookstore and a free personal pizza from on-campus dining’s Papa Johns’s Pizza. The department pack included an APSU pennant, snacks and a morning bagel box from Einstein’s, on-campus location.

Gardner, who recently joined APSU’s official student group The PeayNuts, created a door display that featured the Austin Peay Fight Song, “Smash Bang,” along with a 4-foot cut-out drawing of the Governor.

The Student Life and Engagement Office went floor-to-ceiling with their decorations, using streamers and pom-poms to accentuate their pride in the red-and-white of Austin Peay.

Austin Peay students and offices are encouraged to submit registrations for the Peay Patrol throughout the week on twitter using the hashtag #peaypatrol, or by the online form at the link found below.
