As a senior in 2012 – Blanchard was a Second-Team All-OVC selection as an outfielder... played and started in all 64 contests and batted .290, primarily as the team's leadoff hitter, with 10 doubles, 18 RBI and 16 stolen bases... was ranked among Division I leaders in walks (28th, 45) and runs scored (87th, 54)... became APSU's career triples leader (12) at SIU Edwardsville, May 4, moving him past Greg Tubbs who held the record since 1984... also finished career ranked among APSU career leaders in sacrifice bunts (2nd, 20), stolen bases (5th, 67), walks (7th, 99) and runs scored (10th, 142)... had 22 bunt hits and batted .733 when bunting for a base hit and had nine sacrifice bunts... was 3-for-3 with a double and triple from leadoff spot in game one of doubleheader against Illinois State, Feb. 18...opened Georgia State series with 2-for-5 outing that included a stolen base... was 2-for-3 at Alabama A&M, March 6, with three walks... received a walk in nine of 10 outings, including six straight at end of stretch, from Feb. 25-March 13 which accounted for 15 walks, including Georgia State finale, Feb. 26, where he earned three walks ... had a modest four-game hit streak, March 11-16, but only hit .250 (4-for-16) during streak... went 3-for-4 against Western Kentucky, March 21, including a double and first stolen base since March 14... was 4-for-9 (.444) in Southeast Missouri series, March 23-25... was 2-for-2 with a stolen base against Alabama A&M, March 27... was 3-for-7 in Eastern Illinois series opener, April 6, but saw 10-game hit streak come to an end with 0-for-3 outing in series' second game... batted leadoff against Middle Tennessee, April 11, and walked in first three plate appearances before ending night 1-for-2 with a RBI double... batted .529 (18-of-34) during 10-game hit streak from March 21-April 6 that raised average from .200 to .296... had five hits in Murray State series (.385 average), including fourth career home run in Game 2... his 3-for-5, two RBI performance in opener at Eastern Kentucky included solo home run in 8th inning that provided game-winning run... had seven hits in Eastern Kentucky series with three hits in both opener and finale... held without a hit at Tennessee, April 24, but walked and scored twice... opened Jacksonville State series with a 2-for-4 performance... tied for team lead in both hits (six) and RBI (five) in SIU Edwardsville series, May 4-6, including 3-for-5, two RBI outing in finale and 3-for-6, three RBI effort in opener... was 2-for-4 against Lipscomb, May 8... had seven hits in Morehead State series, including a career-high four-hit outing in Game 2... was 1-for-4 with bunt single at Belmont, May 15... struggled during Tennessee Tech series, with lone hit a Game 3 double... batted .300 with six base hits and three RBI in OVC Tournament... was 2-for-5 with RBI in Govs victory against Jacksonville State, May 25... was 2-for-4 with RBI ground out against Southeast Missouri, May 26... had leadoff walk and scored game's first run in first game of championship round against Eastern Illinois, May 26, finishing game 1-for-4 with a walk... reached on an error and scored game's first run in OVC tourney-clinching win against Eastern Illinois, May 27, finishing day 1-for-3 with a walk... did not record a hit during NCAA Tournament's Eugene Regional but walked three times, scoring once, and also had game-saving, home-run robbing catch against Indiana State, June 2.

Named second-team All-OVC and to OVC All-Tournament as an outfielder… batted .333 with 13 doubles, team-best five triples, 27 RBI and OVC-leading 29 stolen bases… in OVC play, batted .392 with eight doubles… ranked 26th nationally in stolen bases per game (0.53) and 17th in total stolen bases… notched 25th stolen base at Lipscomb, May 17, becoming 12th Govs player to nab at least 25 single-season bases… batted .340 in April/May with nine doubles and 14 SB… had nine-game hit streak ended in Arkansas State opener, March 11… hit season’s lone home run against Tennessee, March 16… had game-winning two-RBI triple in Govs’ win at Illinois State, March 19… was 3-for-6 in Murray State doubleheader, March 27, with two SB in the opener… had three hits in second and third games of EIU series, finishing series 7-for-12 with three doubles and two RBI… had third-straight multi-hit outing (2-for-3) against Evansville, April 5… was held hitless at Middle Tennessee, April 6, but stole two bases as he walked once and was hit by a pitch… had one hit in each game of Eastern Kentucky series… was 1-for-5 with an RBI against Western Kentucky, April 12… had two-run single against Belmont, April 13, and reached base in all three plate appearances… batted in game-winning run at Jacksonville State, April 17, with infield single… committed season’s first error against Lipscomb, April 19, but also had second outfield assist in same game… did not play defense in Morehead State series due to eye injury, but appeared as a pinch runner in Game 2… led team with five hits in OVC Tournament, posting a .571 on-base percentage with three walks… was 2-for-3 with a walk and stolen base against Tennessee Tech, May 26… lone hit of Jacksonville State contest, May 27, came against record-settting closer Todd Hornsby and supplied two key insurance runs in ninth inning… reached base safely in four of five plate appearances (reached on an error in other appearance) in championship game against JSU, went 2-for-3 with a leadoff triple in the fifth, two walks and two stolen bases… batted .250 (3-of-12) in NCAA Tournament’s Atlanta Regional… had two hits, a double and a stolen base against Mississippi State, June 4, with a double and a stolen base… had a hit against Georgia Tech, June 5, and was hit by a pitch.
As a sophomore in 2010 –
Blanchard batted .238 in 45 games, including 17 starts… started season strong with a season best three-hit game against Iowa, Feb.  20, where he was 3-for-3 with two runs, two-RBI, two triples, and a stolen base… posted a 2-for-5, two-run performance at Western Kentucky, March 2… did not get many opportunities in conference play, but made the most of his 11 at-bats, going 4-for-11 (.364) and scoring five runs for the Govs… went 2-for-4 against Murray State in game three of the series, March 28… was fifth on the team in stolen bases, finishing 8-for-9 on the basepaths.
As a freshman in 2009 –
Blanchard batted .267 in 43 games, including 26 starts… split time in center field with Jared DeLong, each starting 26 games – Blanchard taking over the starting spot in the season’s second half… batted .231 in OVC play, starting 13 of 19 contests… went 2-for-3 with double and two walks in season’s first start against Indiana State, March 4… posted 2-for-4 performance at Mississippi, March 10, after coming off bench and started the next day at Mississippi, going 1-for-4… did not start in centerfield again until March 22 against Eastern Kentucky, the first of seven consecutive starts… went 2-for-4 with lead-off home run and two RBI at Vanderbilt, March 24… after one-game break, started 14 consecutive games, April 7-28… began stretch by stealing four bases as part of 2-for-3 outing against Lipscomb, April 7… also recorded two hits in Tennessee Tech series opener, April 18… opened Southeast Missouri series, April 25, with season-best 3-for-4 performance.

Played under head coach Buster Kelso as a center fielder for the Purple Wave… finished his senior season with a .382 batting average with 40 walks and 32 stolen bases… was twice selected to the Tennessee Baseball Coaches Association Showcase team… selected to Memphis Commercial Appeal All-Metro team… also was a quarterback for the Purple Wave, completing 46-of-79 passes for 624 yards and nine touchdowns while also rushing 28 times for 283 yards and another six touchdowns as a senior… also ran track early in the spring, posting a time of 11.10 seconds – three-tenths of a second shy of the state record – in the 100-meter dash to win the April event at Christian Brothers.
