CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - Wesley Kitts, Austin Peay State University's senior running back, has been suspended "for a violation of team policy."

That was announced by Governors head coach Rick Christophel late Friday. As a result, Kitts will not play against Murray State, Saturday night. His future status will be reviewed next week.

Kitts has started all five games at running back and is the Govs' leading rusher with 522 yards, including a trio of 100-yard rushing performances.

Junior Terrence Oliver, who has rushed for 140 yards this season and had nine pass catches a week ago, will move into the starting role against Murray State. Redshirt freshman Reco Williams, who had 45 yards in his first extensive APSU action at Eastern Illinois, will serve as the backup.

Christophel will have no further comments regarding the suspension.
