CLEVELAND, Ohio-A pair of seniors, running back Ryan White and safety Amius Smith, have been named to Phil Steele's 2011 Preseason All-Ohio Valley Conference second-team.

That was announced Wednesday as part of the Phi Steele's 2011 FCS College Football Preview.

White, a first-team All-OVC selection in 2009, rushed for 769 yards on 156 carries (4.9 ypr) a year ago after rushing for 1,081 yards in 2009. In fact, the Nashville native enters the season with 2,450 career rushing yards, ranking him fifth all time in APSU history.

Smith, meanwhile, will begin his third season as starter at weak safety, although he was named to the Phil Steele team as a linebacker. As a junior, Smith finished with 82 tackles, ranking third best on the team. The Clarksville native has had 14 tackles for loss over the last two seasons, including eight a year ago.
