College: Talented signal-caller took the reins in Game 6 of 2009 at Southeast Missouri after troubled quarterback play in first five games... owns quick release and strong throwing arm...retains the job for 2010 following a strong spring... completed 11 of 18 passes in the Govs only spring scrimmage... continued to learn offensive system while filling in sparingly through 2009's first five games... in six starts, completed 47 of 124 passes (37.9 percent) for 593 yards and one touchdown... at Southeast Missouri, completed 9 of 17 passes for 93 yards in first career start... helped Govs break a 22-game losing streak against Eastern Kentucky with a 24-20 win ... completed 3 of 7 passes including his first career TD pass, a 45-yard strike to Adrian Mines... after struggling against Jacksonville State, rebounded with back-to-back 100-yard passing games... at Murray State, completed 14 of 25 for season-best 192 yards... led Govs to win against Tennessee State with strong clock management, completing 8 of 22 passes for 101 yards... just missed a third 100-yard game, with 92 yards passing at UT Martin...used redshirt season in 2008 to learn offensive system plus gain strength and bulk to handle position's rigors... struggled during early stages of spring practice but came on rapidly during closing weeks...completed four-of-six passes for 90 yards and TD during Red-White game...entered 2008 listed as co-No. 2 quarterback along with T.C.
