As a sophomore in 2012 – Following the 2012 season, Hankins was selected to play on USA Baseball's Collegiate National Team... he was an honorable mention All-America selection by CollegeBaseballInsider.com... also named to American Baseball Coaches Association All-South Region second team... during the campaign started all 64 games and was second on the team in batting average (.337), home runs (10) and RBI (66)... was a first-team All-OVC selection at second base after batting .371 with five home runs and 29 RBI during conference season with one strikeout in 105 at-bats ... earned OVC All-Tournament honors with .333 batting average, a home run and six RBI in five tourney games... added NCAA Baseball Championship All-Eugene Region accolade with his .400 batting average and three RBI performance... finished postseason with .361 batting average, two home runs and nine RBI... ranked among Division I leaders in RBI (12th, 66), walks (88th, 38) and home runs (92nd, 10) and was one of toughest to strikeout with 16 strikeouts in 250 at-bats - Under head coach Dan Springman was pitcher, designated hitter, utility infelder and outfielder… as a junior was named honorable mention All-Metro Utility by St.Louis Post-Dispatch… first-team ESPN RISE Magazine All-St.Louis Area as a pitcher… as a senior, hit .475 with 11 doubles, six home runs, 28 RBI, 34 runs scored and a .571 on-base percentage at the plate… also went 9-3 with one save, a 1.27 ERA and limited opponents to .189 batting average on the mound…as a junior, hit .473 with two home runs, nine doubles and 27 RBI… on the mound, went 6-1 with a 2.02 ERA in 45 innings-pitched, striking out 60 and allowing only 13 earned runs… named a Missouri High School Baseball Coaches Association (MHSBCA) All-State Honorable mention as a utility player… posted a career 26-4 record on the mound… played on St.Louis Pirates summer travel team run by former Govs standout Rick Strickland.

Jordan Taylor Hankins is the son of Jeff and Tammy Hankins… born Feb.  18… has a brother, Josh, who played baseball collegiately… a criminal justice major with a homeland security concentration.
