Looking forward to 2011-12: Will provide quality depth along frontline... again will battle for starting position after ending 2010-11 as starting power forward...competitive, conscientious individual...aggressive relentless rebounder...possesses strong fundamentals defensively and offensively...dedicated and disciplined individual...followed former prep teammate Anthony Campbell to campus...size and body type are reminiscent of former Gov Drake Reed...effective inside performer who has ability to finish...gaining more confidence in perimeter game...displayed greatly improved free-throw shooting down stretch...dependable passer.

As a freshman in 2010-11: After slow start, exploded down stretch for Govs, including starting final nine games...averaged 10.6 points and 7.6 rebounds per game over final 14 games...finished freshman season with seven double-figure scoring games...grabbed seven or more rebounds on 12 occasions, including 11 of them over final 14 contests...led Govs in rebounding eight times, including five straight late-season games...finished third on team in blocked shots with 19...played combined total of 15 minutes over first four games...took advantage of increased minutes (17) to tally eight points (all in second half) and four rebounds versus Purdue...also fouled out for first time...played 18 minutes off bench against Charleston Southern, scoring five points and grabbing four rebounds...scored six points and snatched four offensive rebounds off bench against Oakland in 18 minutes..also had two steals....tallied first double-figure scoring game with 13 points on 5-8 FG against Fontbonne...tallied two points and five rebounds against EKU...after playing only one minute against Morehead State, grabbed career-high nine rebounds against Brescia, while totalling 6 points on 3-7 FGs...also had two blocks and a steal...scored five points off bench at Murray State, making 2-2 field goals...also made 2-2 FGs at UT Martin to go along with career-high three blocks in 15 minutes....provided then career-best 20 minutes at Tennessee State, scoring three points while grabbing five rebounds, one short of the team high...started to become more adept at rim in home loss to Tennessee Tech...scored eight points on 3-5 FGs, and grabbed five offensive rebounds in 24 minutes...in home win against Jacksonville State, came off bench to score nine points to go with team-best seven rebounds...with Melvin Baker ill, made first career start at Eastern Kentucky, scoring eight points and grabbed a then career-high tying nine rebounds....tallied seven points and six rebounds in only 19 minutes at Morehead State...led Govs in rebounding for third straight game...scored 12 points on a career-high 6-7 FGs while also grabbing seven rebounds to tie for team lead...was perfect from the floor (6-6) and the free-throw line (3-3) for 15 points with seven rebounds, along with two blocks against Murray State...for the week, averaged 23 minutes, making 12-13 FGs (13.5 ppg) while also averaging 7.0 rebounds...was inserted into starting lineup at Tennessee Tech and responded with career's best game...scored 25 points on 10-13 FGs and was perfect 5-5 at the free-throw line...also snared eight rebounds....named OVC Freshman of the Week...dropped in 11 points and grabbed six rebounds against Tennessee State in 30 minutes of action...at Jacksonville State, scored 14 points and grabbed nine rebounds while playing 33 minutes....first career double-double came at Fairfield in Sears BracketBuster as he finished with 12 points while snatching 10 rebounds...second straight 10-plus rebound performance came at home against Eastern Illinois, although double-figure scoring streak ended at six games...played 25 minutes versus SEMO in OVC tourney quarterfinal, scoring seven points and grabbing seven rebounds....in OVC tourney semifinal game made it two straight games with seven points and seven rebounds, six of which came on offensive glass...also had two blocks and two steals...in CBI contest against Boise State, scored nine points while grabbing seven rebounds for third straight game.

In high school: Played forward for Mike Waldo at Edwardsville High School...averaged 18.6 points per game, shooting 56.1 percent from floor...also averaged 13.0 rebounds, 2.9 assists, 1.6 steals and 3.5 blocks per game...shot 72.7 percent from free-throw line on 207 attempts... recorded double-doubles in 26 of 28 games...twice scored season-high 29 points...also grabbed season-best 18 rebounds...chosen The Telegraph's Large School Male Prep Basketball Player of the Year...selected second-team All Metro by St. Louis Post Dispatch...earned honorable mention Associated Press All-State...earned second-team Illinois High School Coaches Association Second-Team All-State...earned MVP honors at both Centralia (lll.) and Charleston (Ill.) tournaments...considered by Rick Bolus High Potential Recruiting as one of Illinois' top 25 recruits...as junior, averaged 15.9 points, shooting 64 percent (159 of 263) and 10.7 rebounds a game last season...scored in double figures 26 times, including 15 double-doubles in 28 games as Edwardsville finished 22-6...named Belleville News-Democrat Class 3A-4A Player of the Year and Telegraph Large School Male Prep Basketball player of the Year...earned MVP honors at Charleston (Ill.)
