As a senior in 2012 – Bachman was an honorable mention All-America selection by CollegeBaseballInsider.com… played and started 63 games, finishing season with .351 batting average, 16 home runs and 67 RBI... was ranked among Division I leaders in total bases (9th, 157), home runs (15th), RBI (10th), hits (20th), slugging percentage (55th, .592) and batting average (143rd)... was a Second-Team All-OVC selection after batting .336 and leading team in home runs (nine) and RBI (38) in league action... named OVC Tournament "Most Valuable Player" and was an All-Tournament Team selection after batting tourney-best .545 in five games with seven RBI... selected to NCAA Baseball Championship's All-Eugene Region squad after posting at least two hits in each tourney game and finishing with a As a junior redshirt in 2010 – Bachman did not play in 2010 due to a shoulder injury.
As a sophomore in 2009 – Bachman was second on the team (28th among OVC hitters) with a .342 batting average and led the team in both home runs (10) and RBI (44)… was one of only two players (Adam Browett the other) to play and start in all 52 games… batted .314 in OVC play with six home runs and 18 RBI… began season at shortstop for second consecutive season but moved to third base 14 games into the season… led team with 22 multi-hit outings and 12 multi-RBI contests… after being held hitless in season’s first three games he put together a nine-game hit streak, hitting .469 with two home runs and 12 RBI… had five three-hit outings, beginning with 3-for-3 performance at Tennessee, Feb.  24… season’s second three-hit outing was a 3-for-4 performance against Milwaukee, March 13… later in season pieced together career-best 12-game hit streak, hitting .429 during streak with two home runs and 12 RBI… began streak with five consecutive multi-hit outings, including season’s third three-hit performance with 3-for-4 contest against SIU Edwardsville, April 3, to begin streak… finished SIUE series with 2-for-6, four RBI effort… soon after streak ended he opened Southeast Missouri series, April 25, with 2-for-5, two home run, five RBI performance – the Govs only five RBI outing of the season… his home runs came in back-to-back innings with a three-run blast in the seventh followed by a two-run shot in the eighth… went 3-for-5 against Middle Tennessee, April 29… had another two-home run outing at Tennessee Martin, May 2, going 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in second game of series his season’s fifth three-hit outing… his first home run was a three-run shot in the first inning followed by solo home run in the fourth inning.
As a freshman in 2008 – Bachman was named to the OVC All-Freshman squad as an infielder… batted .269 with 32 RBI and a team best 12 sacrifice bunts… was one of three players (Will Hogue and Tyler Farrar the others) to see action in all 56 games… batted .247 in OVC play with 17 RBI… began season at shortstop and played 30 games before moving to third base beginning with Tennessee Tech series and played season’s final 21 games at the hot corner… also played three games at second base… finished campaign with 17 multi-hit outings, including four three-hit affairs… had two separate three-game hitting streaks in which he had two hits in each game of the streak… after being held hitless in season-opener against Valparaiso, he went 3-for-5 with 2 RBI in second game of doubleheader… pieced together first three-game hit streak with two hits against Illinois State, March 2, and two hits in each game of March 5 doubleheader at East Tennessee… had season-best three RBI in second game at East Tennessee… season’s lone home run came in Jacksonville State series finale, March 30, his only hit of the series… posted season’s first three-hit outing in first game of Morehead State doubleheader, April 5, batting in two runs while walking once and being hit by a pitch twice… second three-game hit streak started with two hits at Middle Tennessee, April 16, and included two-hit outings in both games of Tennessee Tech doubleheader, April 20… pieced together season-best four-game hit streak one week later with two hits at Evansville, April 23, and five hits in Southeast Missouri series, April 26-27, including three hits and two RBI in series finale… played well at 2009 OVC Tournament, with 3-for-4 effort against Southeast Missouri and 1-for-4, two RBI outing against Tennessee Tech.

Played under head coach Lane McCarter as a third baseman and shortstop… was a TSWA Class AAA All-State selection leading the Mustangs to 32-10 record… set school record in home runs (11) and RBI (57)… also led the team in slugging percentage (.813), runs (54), hits (59) and doubles (15)… also played corner and was a second-team all-region selection kicker for the Mustangs.
